ten year vision

In order for New City to fulfill the mission that God has placed on our hearts, we believe that the following four areas of emphasis are crucial in shaping us into the church God wants us to be. ver the next decade (2025–2035), we hope and will strive to become a church that cultivates curiosity, equips leaders, fights loneliness, and cares for our hurting neighbors.

Create a culture of christ filled curiosity and imagination

  • Create a critical hub of community life, intellectual exploration, and artistic expression in the north St. Charles corridor

  • Foster an intentional movement of God's people that is both gospel centered and counter cultural

  • 100% of members actively engaged in a pathway of spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth, regularly practicing spiritual disciplines and engaged in the social life of the body

Relentlessly equip disciple makers and leaders.

  • 80% of members have discipled someone or been discipled in the ways and teachings of Jesus

  • Fifty implanted leaders in the broader St. Charles community

  • A clear and productive pathway to lay leadership and influence

Forge friendships, fight loneliness, and foster intentional community.

  • 100% of members meeting together in groups beyond Sunday services

  • Every participant at New City can identify one close friend within the church

  • Every member connects with someone outside the church regularly

  • Ten local St. Charles churches are regularly meeting together and participating in mission together with New City.

Intentionally care for our hurting neighbors.

  • Help one hundred unhoused persons find jobs, housing, rehab through strategic partnerships with other organizations and independent action

  • Help provide one hundred people with professional counseling

  • Train 100% of members on walking well with hurting neighbors

  • Wipe out $5 million in debt within New City participants

  • Help one hundred families or students within local schools find restoration, freedom, and belonging
